DALLAS, TX -- A robbery suspect appeared to be glad to see police arrive after a chase through North Dallas streets ended with him being beaten by a female motorist whose vehicle he rear-ended.
The incident happened about 3:30pm Wednesday when police received a report of a robbery in progress. Police spotted the suspect vehicle and gave chase through North Dallas streets until the car the man was driving slammed into the rear of vehicles stopped at an intersection.
One of those vehicles was a mini van with Charles Cook, Jessica Liesmann and her son inside, ABC affiliate WFAA reports. Liesmann leaped from her damaged vehicle, jerked open the driver's side door of the suspect's vehicle, pulled the man from the driver's seat and began to beat him.
"She was yelling at the dude, 'Look what you did to my car! Look what you did to my car!'" Cook said. "And I could hear him saying, 'Just let me go, let me go!' And she was like, 'No, you're not going nowhere! Look what you just did to my car!'"
The couple held the suspect to the ground just as officers dashed to her aid. Police told reporters the suspect "ran into a mama bear."
