Dan Aykroyd stopped for speeding on way to Honda Indy

If it was a Joe like me I would have been alapped with a ticket.

Have any of you ever got a warning instead of a ticket?.

Yup, I've been let off with a warning quite a few times actually.......

One time I was driving my ranger pickup (empty) and stood on it to get around some cars in the left lane, I was in the curb lane, to get around some parked cars and the back wheels did make quite the racket (empty I could light em up without batting an eye).

Got stopped by the cops for unnecessary noise and they let me off when I said "I really wasn't trying to light em up, just empty this truck's back end is so light it's hard not to under acceleration"...

Never got stopped in over 25 years of driving. Pad myself on my back.

I've been let off a few times. I blew through a stop sign and the Officer pulled me over, check out my ID and told me it was my lucky day. Another time I was pulled over for speeding and no seat-belt. I was only given the seat-belt ticket.

Stopped for 91 in a 50 (back road where it drops from a 80 to 50 for 1KM then right back up to 80 again). Got a ticket for 60 in a 50 ($45buck) and on my way.

Then again I also got a 57 in 50 - went to court and watched the judge blast the prosecutor for wasting the court's time.

91 in a 80 is not so bad. The limit suddenly drops to 50 where there is a few buildings on a cross street. He got me just as I entered the 50. Didn't have any tickets and didn't give him a hard time or anything and I pulled right over. He decided to give me a break, I thanked him for it and didn't get another violation until that silly 57 in a 50. This was long back - now they'd throw the book at me.
