Dark Girls Documentary

Now that's a good post and i have to admit I never considered this issue.

Also on a personal note I happen to find the majority of the women in the vid attractive and would not hesitate on taking them out.

However I know in my youth my dad would have given me a stern talking to about staying within my race.

Cannot say it's an eye opener but reassures that even now there still exists the "R" word.

I grew up around it some of the things my parents said didnt sit well with me but ignored it. i.e when my parnets where getting married my mom's mom said she wasn't allowed to marry my dad because he is too dark. or my mom saying that my dad only married her because she is light skin. and how i should marry dark skin since i ma more on the light skin side. then again I mostly date and fuck white guys so many i internalize what they said.

You prefer white meat or dark meat?.

There, I fixed your thread lol.....

I remember I worked at a place where 2 of my co-workers were black, and the courier guy who did deliveries twice a day to us was black. I told one on a wednesday that that night I was going out with a black chick. Then the next day OMFG were they on me like white on rice. (I made the mistake of telling them we actually got down and dirty lol). Welcome to the dark side, so how you like dark meat? all stuff like that...then the courier showed up, OMG lol it was too funny.....

Then one asked "so, you goin' out wit her again"? HELL yeah lol......man, I heard about that for weeks......

Is there a white girls documentary? :arf:

Not to detract from what these girls (ladies?) went through/go through but a lot of the things they expressed issues with, apply to young women in general, not just black girls. I mean even guys go through this too. For eg: that one who said her mom was saying she was so pretty, had great cheeks, great eyes, great lips etc if ONLY she was lighter....How many fathers have said to or about their sons: he's got great speed, great agility, if only he was taller/bigger/better? Another example is how many parents have called their kids stupid? dumb? etc....

Like I said, not to detract from what the women went through but I think many if not most of us have had comments made about us at some point on our looks, our abilities, our intelligence etc.

Now to be blunt, there are a few women on that video who aren't that attractive period and it has nothing to do with their race. There are are couple on there who are beautiful and I'd have no problem dating them. Both have nothing to do with the fact that they are black, it's just the way they're built.

Shit, were we raised by the same father  :slap:
