My heart is pounding in my ears the second you text me that you’re here. I’m visibly nervous – I’m not shaking, but I might as well be. I remember all the emails we sent building up to this, late nights texting and secret times remembering... it makes my thighs tremble and my stomach flip. And I have to go answer the door, and I’m in control and totally composed.
(I’m not.)
Let’s do something new; the old way works but I want something more.
