I noticed and welcome the pictures insights when they post a link to a lobby scoop as well as reviews.

Drama doesn't exist here and they are smart enough to know that it doesn't sell.

I've spoken about this often, and can only compare this board to that other one I was suspended from, the red one that starts with an L and used to begin with a c and is based out of O town, lol. There you'll get suspended if you use incorrect wording,or for phrasing an ad that sounds to sexual, or if you post a pic, and heaven forbid, a bit of lip or anus is showing, even if you have to use a telescope to see that tidbit you'll be penalized or kicked off. Or if you argue with the "wrong" person. Certain people on that board are untouchable and revered, no matter how much crap they sell. There, you can only say "nice things" but the mods can and will pm you with as much crudity, vulgarity and rudeness as they deem fit . It's a cliquey as high school, as childish and run by bullies.Everyone is "board friendly", lol, sucking each others asses until they switch off their computers or close their doors, then it's fair game, lol.
HUBGFE is imo a breath of fresh air, you can speak openly, realistically, there can be drama, but compared to there, very little. The difference here is, it isn't patronized or accepted for some and not others. You can post sexy pics here without worrying about them being deleted or getting an infraction because of a bit of skin showing. It boils down to censorship, and bias. I understand everyone having rules but being realistic and fair should also be rules......everywhere:)
HUBGFE rocks:) but that's just my opinion

I would not be who and where I am in my life currently were it not for HUBGFE and the awesome members here.

I think the key difference is that the same people who frequent the other boards are encouraged by example to behave like adults more on here. Silliness and creativity are also encouraged and that creates a healthy atmosphere.

Thank you Amy for your support and the support of all the ladies.
It is our pleasure to have you hare and support you.

Members here reply to reviews. Even with a "Nice review" "Thanks for sharing" and more. If one takes the time to write a review the acknowledgement from their peers should be appreciated.

Drama exists within the interactions of humans. In some cases it is more overt, and sometimes the drama is more positive... One definition of 'drama' is 'an exciting, emotional, or unexpected series of events or set of circumstances.' so in essence the positive byplay is actually exciting, the interaction between members is emotional and often times there are unexpected series of events.

I think you meant to say 'this site lacks overt overtones caused by public strife'.

There is no such thing as drama ever, ever being positive. No, our site doesn't 'this site lacks overt overtones caused by public strife'

Thank you for your input, just my thoughts.

Thank you for your input, just my thoughts.

I think the word drama has come to carry negative connotations in the online communities due to the development of 'social drama'. I am perhaps too literal at times for the liking of many... A fallacy of my mind, but at this point I am old and set in my ways unfortunately. I am going to attempt to share my thoughts and I hope you can remain open minded enough to read through my entire post.

Drama it's self is not a negative circumstance, but rather the actions of those attempting to create drama.

https://www.dictionary.com/browse/drama

an exciting, emotional, or unexpected series of events or set of circumstances.

https://www.vocabulary.com/dictionary/drama

Drama is highly emotional. It can happen on stage, like a performance of "Hamlet," or in a gaggle of 7th grade girls, breathlessly dissecting why so-and-so broke up with what's-her-name.
The word drama comes directly from Greek, meaning "action" or "a play." Which is no surprise, since ancient Athens was a hotbed of dramatic theater. The earliest recorded actor was a Greek named Thespis, and actors today are still called "thespians" in his honor. Drama doesn't always take place on the stage, though. You can use the word, sometimes with a roll of the eyes, to describe behavior or a reaction to a situation that appears a little overly emotional.

1.n
a dramatic work intended for performance by actors on a stage

n
the literary genre of works intended for the theater

n
the quality of being arresting or highly emotional

n
an episode that is turbulent or highly emotional

I believe the references to 'Drama' on the forums is in reference to a singular interpretation and usage. In truth there is a modification to the interpretation because it is actually a newer term called 'Social Drama'.

Social Drama:

The one I have found most reflective of my mind set is here:

Defining Good v. Bad Drama

First of all, let’s discuss the difference between good relationship drama and bad relationship drama. Good drama contributes to growth in your relationship. When you and your partner engage in drama, it serves to open the door to a stronger bond between the two of you. Good drama encourages you to open your mind and your heart so you can approach your relationship in a new way. It helps you both explore new perspectives, and allows you to connect in new ways. It may not always be easy or fun, but good drama is a key factor in facilitating healthy long-term change in your relationship (and by extension, in your life).

Bad relationship drama, on the other hand, is a source of pain. It makes you feel worse about yourself. It causes you to second-guess your intuition, your self-worth and your ability to open your heart to others. Bad relationship drama keeps you in a state of frustration, fear and withholding. And while it may appear to be interesting for a while, bad drama never fails to leave you in a negative state. If you find yourself feeling anxious, annoyed or contentious with your partner on a regular basis, or if your fights are no longer productive, you are definitely experiencing bad relationship drama.

Tips for Eliminating Bad Drama and Creating Good Drama

There was a time in my life when I was content experiencing bad drama in my life, and I admit I even resisted eliminating it completely. It turns out this is a common habit. Physiologically, we become fueled by the exhilaration of extreme feelings (whether they’re negative or positive), and then we can become addicted to those emotional highs. But once you realize that the turmoil you’re dealing with isn’t worth it, you’ll know you’re ready to forgo all of that bad drama to make room for the good drama in your life. And here’s how you can do it (special thanks to Bill from NYC, Ms. Stacy M., and a couple of boys who can only be referred to as The Earl and The Duke, who helped me generate these tips for you):

  1. Consider the ways in which you allow bad drama into your relationships. Are you only attracted to ‘bad boys’? Do you get a charge from picking fights with your girlfriend? Do you thrive on the attention you get when you create drama in your relationships? Once you know how you invite bad drama into your life, you’ll become more aware of your contribution to it. Knowing where it comes from (and taking ownership of it) is half the battle.

  1. Begin making healthier choices. If you’re truly committed to eradicating bad drama from your life, make the conscious choice to stop allowing people in your life who trigger that drama in you. Start surrounding yourself with people who bring happiness into your life instead (by the way, this goes for romantic relationships, as well as friendships, relationships with family, co-workers, etc.). Be at ease with yourself and find peace in having consistency in your interactions with others. Choose to address potentially ‘dramatic’ situations in an honest and constructive way in order to minimize drama in the future.

  1. Shift your focus from the drama to yourself. For some people, dealing with negative drama becomes a way of life. They get stuck in a powerful cycle of focusing on what isn’t working in their lives, and transfer those feelings to their relationships. To get out of this negative pattern, start focusing on creating a life that you love. Once you begin making positive changes for yourself, you simply won’t have the patience for bad drama in your relationships – you’ll be too busy enjoying your life!

It can be hard to let go of the excitement that bad drama brings to our lives. Some people have seemingly ‘perfect’ lives, and still can’t completely eliminate drama. What you can do, however, is recognize the negative impact ‘bad drama’ has on your personal growth. Appreciate who you are as a person and resist negative situations that detract from your happiness. Create a life that is full of expansive, productive and joyous experiences. You alone have the power to use good drama to make strides in your life. So get on it!

I truly hope this post and the examples I have given will allow you to have a better understanding of what I am referring to. There is absolutely nothing wrong with what a professional would consider 'good drama', and absolutely no good ever comes from 'bad drama' or 'social drama'.

Too much time spent staring at psychology text books, and trying to comprehend the mental function of others has lead me to a literal interpretation rather than an emotional interpretation of words and situations.

In addition to the above information I would go further to state that this site is perhaps more accurately termed as 'uncontroversial'. Just so there is no misunderstanding about my meaning on this matter:

https://www.vocabulary.com/dictionary/uncontroversial

If something is uncontroversial it won't cause disagreement, conflict, or controversy. People who actually like to argue might think uncontroversial means "kinda boring."

You've probably figured out that the root of the word uncontroversial is controversy, which means "causing strife or public disagreement." It's surprising when local or national government decisions are uncontroversial, because there are usually at least a few dissenters for every issue. If you're a passive person who doesn't like confrontation, you probably hope that everything you say is uncontroversial.

I on the other hand am a 'cognative personality' type who tends to overthink/think hard about scenarios, situations, and literal interpretation.

Sorry for any confusion... If you think my line of thought is mind numbingly tedious you should try living inside my head for a day.

Kisses,
Lily
