I take D3 but that is a result of my Doctor determining a need.
I occasionally take Iron.

I take a multivitamin which has trace elements that may be missing in diet... in particular magnesium... I sometimes get craps in my lets and they go away with a multivitamin. I've also taken d3 because we sometimes don't get enough sunlight in the winter

I think taking vitamins is a smart move, although knowing which ones to take and how much is a difficult trial.Perhaps a Naturopath would be a professional that could help with that.Lets face it unless you're growing your own food, or you know that it comes from a reliable farmer, most we consume is grown or raised in such a way that it looses some of it's healthfulness. Then with shipping, storage and cooking, it losses even more. So adding vitamins to your diet is a good idea for most diets.

Only as recommended by my doctor, anything else, is pissed away.

B12, and D only in the winter.

Oh and Magnesium, my choice, and no, I don't gnaw on a mag wheel.
