The Lady I've been seeing says she likes white; but enjoyed the red I brought last week.
But she doesn't drink much at all lately.

I'm just curious about what other people like.
I didn't realize reds were so much more popular than whites.
And Rose (or pink dishwater as I like to think of it, my apologies in advance) was way more popular than I thought.

My personal preference is a brut method classic sparking white wine (e.g., Champaign).
But a few times I've had as much as a half bottle left over and had to drive home so I had to throw out the rest (no way to get the cork back in or anyway to explain a half bottle of sparkling white wine to my wife; she pretty much only drinks red wine), which is sad... especially if you've bought the good stuff.
So I've given up on the sparkling wine for the time being.

Anyway thanks to all who completed the poll or replied.

ah well if you wanted to keep it (driving and wife would be useless for this obviously) keep a metal spoon at the neck of the bottle or place a raisin in a glass of flat whatever and CO2 will rise. science Funky & Music

You can get special stopper that keeps the wine relatively fresh for a few hours, but then there is trying to explain it to my wife issue, so I don't bother... red wine is easier to slip into the house because that's what she drinks, but she would notice a half bottle of Champaign.

Some sparkling wines are available in half bottles... but availability of the decent brands varies (kind of hit and miss).
