Some people don't hear their own voice in their head or internally talk to themselves. Not to be mistaken with those that hear other peoples voices in their head.

Even when I speak, the voice I hear in my head is not the same as the voice I auditory project to others. I think most people would agree. When I hear my recorded voice it is not the voice I hear in my head when I am speaking.

When I read a book, I hear it in my head based upon the character. Englishman, Scotsman, woman, black, cowboy, etc. and in the stereotypical accent.
