Stopped by the bank and saw a security guard standing by the door bored stiff. Went to loblaws and tellers are just waiting for the clock to hit 9 pm so they can go home. Had me thinking how many of you actually like what you do.

Are you happy with your present job. Do you make enough. Would you change your job. Would you sacrifice less money for a job you enjoy or more money but hate the job.

Time for a new job?

I can't say I hate my job, but I do dislike it. High-stress, not challenging, pandering mostly to clients with a false sense of entitlement and no concept of responsibility.

I've been passed up for projects that would lead to promotion because I am considered too essential in my core job, and only recently started being able to articulate to the higher-ups this issue in a way they understand.

I expect to be leaving this company within the next 2 months.

Still, I basically enjoy what I do. I naturally like to help people and I like technology, but overall, in my current position, I'm un-happy.

Nobody likes their jobs, we just have to do it.

Five years ago I never thought I would be in the career I have now but I love it. I get to work outside mcuh of my day, pleasant dealings with the public, travel and actually get a chance to play around with a lot of things. Whether I work 40 hrs or 80 hrs per week I wouldnt trade it for anything.

In the past I have quite enjoyed it, at the moment I farking hate the position I'm in.
