I just got a revelation from one of the members of C-erb, that he was the poor client that was rounded up by the Gatineau police in that raid! It was Inti-mate!

My understanding of that incident was that nobody got charged with anything in that at all -- just a big publicity stunt by the Gatineau police. But I guess once I hear directly from the horse's mouth there, that we'll know for sure or not.

Yeah, it was long enough ago, that the victim in that case finally came forward (at least to me).

I don't remember the exact address, but it is just down the road and across the street from Pigales. So if he visits Pigales at any time, then he'll likely be visiting the vicinity of this place.

Hey, I got back a message from Inti-mate, he said that he had to pay a $600 bribe to the Gatineau police to get out of the charges! He also said that police told him that 10 men were charged as clients! That sounds completely ridiculous, as I recall the stories at the time said only one customer was found inside. So I'm thinking that maybe the Gatineau police shook him down for the money, making it look like a bigger deal than it was.

Me either but it's not only Gatineau, that whole province operates more like Greece when it comes to the amount of bribes and payoffs going on !! I grew up in Montreal and some of the stories are wild..... the number of chalets in the Laurentians built by toll collectors on the Laurentian Autoroute and Champlain Bridge!! and when they were building the Olympic Stadium, the day shift electricians would install stuff, the night shift electricians would remove it and over and over it went resulting in many extra hours for the electricians! Just look at the politicians in and around Montreal and the investigations currently going on; it's a way of life there! Makes me want to avoid Gatineau but I just can't as there are some honies over there.

Until now, I had sort of thought of Gatineau as slightly civilized Montreal -- less corruption, things get done properly. When I was back in Montreal a few years ago, it was quite obvious that there was a huge difference between the west island and the east island. The corruption started just east of the Decarie, exactly where the traffic jams start too -- not a coincidence.

BTW, getting back to Inti-mate. He said he wasn't caught inside the spa while it was being raided. He came into the spa after it had already been raided, but he wasn't told it had been raided. The cops setup a little female officer wearing a low-cut dress and she asked him what options he was looking for. He didn't say anything to her, but then when he got into the room and undressed on got on the table, they came in, and told him that it was a sting! Completely intimidating when your lying on the bed naked to have people just burst in.

Actually there were 4 senators that were in the news this summer, apart from Brazeau, Wallin & Duffy, don't forget there was also Mac Harb from Ottawa, who resigned earlier in the summer.
