This question is for the Guys (Hobbyists) and Gals (SP's):
I hear guys complain all the time about that site and the high number of B & S's, etc., but I find that the men who utilize it are frustrating at best and downright rude at worst.
At the suggestion of a board member here, I decided to expand my advertising to include BP and have had nothing but problems. I can't post a functional link to my site as it cuts it in half every time. When I tried rectifying it with them, which can only be done via email, I first received no response and then after a second attempt was told they're limiting the links to third party sites. I see all kinds of ads with fully functional links to their sites, so it would seem that they play favourites. I found a way around it, but to no avail as everyone still texts me despite my ad saying to fill out the online form or call me.
I made the mistake of placing an ad there today and have since fielded a multitude of texts/calls all seemingly from "tire kickers" and "time wasters". I can't figure out if they are lazy, immature, have no time management skills, lack common sense, or fail to realize that they're not the only interested party? I get that some guys want to feel me out, which is fair up to a point, but I can't possibly cater to every person's whims, especially when I'm in the middle of getting ready to meet someone, or so I think.
I had a Calgary number play me all day long with wanting an appt., begging me to block it for them despite the fact that they're flying in 2day, but I have no way of knowing if that is in fact true, and therefore can't call me to confirm until they land, which is during rush hr. Then their flight was late, baggage took forever, GPS was taking forever to download and was the wrong time, traffic was horrendous and finally they weren't in the mood anymore and subsequently pulled a no show. Go figure! During all this I'm answering inane questions from callers despite my telling them I had to get ready for a client. I love the, "I only have a couple of questions.", and 10 minutes later I finally tell them if their not booking I have to go, at which point they of course don't book. Finally I get 2 texts 5 minutes apart around 8:30 pm, both from 905 numbers and both simply stating "Hi". Really, what do I do with that? So I send them all my pertinent info., explaining that I stop seeing clients at 10 pm, after which the last 905 number immediately calls me wanting to see me tonight. I explain to him that it's now quarter to nine and that I stop seeing clients at 10 pm (because more than half the people I text don't actually read the text before contacting me) to which he replies, "Wow, are you ever a Super Bitch". He's like the guy that cuts you off and then flips you the bird.
The above examples are just the tip of the iceberg. Seriously, WTF is wrong with people? They don't pay attention to/respect your boundaries/wishes and then wonder why I have no more time to waste on them. I literally ran myself ragged all day answering questions, attempting to get ready for several potential clients, all of whom either couldn't commit to a time, committed to a time and then cancelled or out and out "no showed".
Only one client had done his homework, respectfully called and actually showed up for his appt., and on time I might add. He also stated that it was "The other guys loss and his gain.", bless his sweet giving heart both in and out of bed, as he replaced a cancellation.
Sorry for venting, but I really find people extremely taxing today. Is that site to be avoided or am I experiencing some sort of "new girl hazing" that will pass?
That's what I LOVE about this site, everyone is kind to and welcomes new comers!
