Incredible video of a dolphin seeking help from a diver and the diver assisting it.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-21176914

An underwater camera has captured the moment a dolphin that became entangled in a fishing line was freed by a diver in Hawaii.

Martina Wing, who filmed the footage, said that the dolphin seemed to "communicate" with the diver to ask for help.

Speaking to BBC Breakfast's Jon Kay and Louise Minchin from Hawaii, she described the experience as "mind-blowing".

An Amazing and wonderful news broadcast....

Thanks...for the warmth feel to my day....:BigHug:

Sushi anyone? :biggrin2:

Seriously, I'm an avid diver (over 750 dives in my logbook) and I've spent a lot of time playing around with dolphins (we always use protection). They are smart. I've always marvelled at just how little we really know about their minds and capabilities. I've seen them seem to have "fun" many times, and also seen the panic response in them when they seem to be altruistic. Or maybe I am anthropomorphosizing.

if you have never had a real dolphin steak you do not know what you are missing.

It is illegal to serve the steaks in Hawaii so it is good he got away.
