Made with Love

Don't you find flashmobs kind of boring, silly and just stupid?.

not to mention pointless

I was in Austin last year and for a week it was announced when and where a flash mob was going to be setting up and filming.

So much for spontaneous reactions.

Just imagine the planning and practise required to pull this off!

the thing about flashmobs is they have to work and then they also have to be done well...there are literally hundreds online that suck ass but when they do? they ROCK.

There's one they did for oprah with the black eyed peas that blew her away (totally unexpected) and the t-mobile ones were amazing......

Here's one they pulled on unsuspecting passengers at heathrow......tell me you wouldn't be blown away if this happened to you after you disembarked?

or this one:

they handed out mics to strangers standing around trafalgar square......

this isn't a flashmob but a fricken AWESOME commercial worth mentioning:

here's the oprah one and either she's the world's greatest actress or she had no idea......

I've seen some great flashmob videos. Brilliant, funny, well executed.

Seen a lot of Candyman threads I found kind of boring, silly and just stupid.

frankly I have seen neither that offers any entertainment of growth.

I guess I just do not see the value in staged video productions being offered as spontaneous crowds or impromptu actions.

It is the rehearsal and camera angles that invalidates the idea
