Tonight for the first time I tried eel sushi, (Unagi). OMG!!! I must have eaten 30 pieces. Why the hell was I scared to try it all this time, other of course than it was an EEL! Absolutely brilliant!

japanese food.....so delicious. I went to Japan and the food was incredible especially the tuna.

ewwwwww i have these childhood memories of my parents always buying smoked eel back in Poland. it was some sort of delicatessen...it freaked me out

and somewheres i cant remember where exactly (probably just blocking it out purposely) i saw a tank of eels just sliding around in the water like snakes.....freaked me out again as a grown up...grrrrrrrrr

now this ...ughhhh i feel im traumatized again :frown:

The oysters are not my thing, and yes I have tried them.

I've had smoked eels several times since I was a kid, you can smoke or pickle anything and it's good with schnapps and a beer chaser.

But I'll never swallow a live leech, they would attach themselves to the inside of your throat on the way down and can't be flushed further. :shock:
