Electric toothbrush vs manual which is better?

A lot of dentists will recommend an electric toothbrush for getting those pearly whites, their pearliest. Mine recommends using both. He feels what areas one misses, the other will reach. However, my online research indicates that as long as you brush for 2 minutes, and brush properly, both do the same job. Have a read and see what you think

I tend to believe what an educated professional tells me, after all I'm sure my dentist, after his many years of educating himself knows more than you or I, when it comes to teeth but as I said, read and decide for yourself

my Dentist says it doesnt matter as long as you brush properly I think electric tooth brushes are a scam anyway, kinda like razor blades

As long as you floss daily, it doesn't matter how you brush.

I switched to electric when I got my braces put on and I much prefer it. So much easier then a manual toothbrush and it has a timer so you know your brushing for the right amount of time. Can't see myself switching back now, but yes flossing is very important too.

I used to use an electric one but it was too easy to do. Got lazy and didn't press hard enough towards the gums.

That's what my dentist told me.
