Love this Google Doodle.

Couldn't resist clicking on it this morning to learn more.

Raymond Loewy, "father of industrial design." Famous for the Coco-Cola bottle, Lucky Strike cigarette packets, logos for Exxon and Shell, as well as Art Deco train imagery.

That's not his design above. That's Google paying tribute by cleverly conscripting a locomotive design to spell "GOOGLE."

That's not what caught my eye first.

Sex on wheels.

That's what I thought.

Wonder how many women in the world will complain about penis imagery.

Wonder how many guys will wonder if it's a message about their sexual prowess.

Maybe that's why Baz thinks major conversation is needed to fill the rest of the hour.
 
Yeah, noticed it first thing this morning as Google is my landing page. Great designer. And amazing how many of the designs are reflected in everything from art deco to modern design.
