I love the old school Eddy Murphy and Richard Prior
Really enjoy Russell Peters
Recently I saw this not so new comedy by Louis CK
Had me in tears
Who makes you cry tears of laughter ?

Groucho Marx. He was the master of sarcasm, irony, self-deprecation, and overall subtle hilarity.

I've split a gut listening to Eddie back in the day... Bill Cosby for good clean fun... and guys like Robin Williams!

Lately though its fellow Canadian; Shaun Majumder!

He calls himself a Pewfy... part Packi/ part newfy! (his words, not mine...) His mother was from Newfoundland and father from Pakistan...

On Canadian misconceptions:

I've read that Lenny Bruce was one of the best ever.

Some of Lenny's quotes are:

A lot of people say to me, 'Why did you kill Christ?' I dunno, it was one of those parties, got out of hand, you know.
Lenny Bruce

Communism is like one big phone company.
Lenny Bruce

Every day people are straying away from the church and going back to God.
Lenny Bruce

I hate small towns because once you've seen the cannon in the park there's nothing else to do.
Lenny Bruce

I won't say ours was a tough school, but we had our own coroner. We used to write essays like: What I'm going to be if I grow up.
Lenny Bruce

I'll die young, but it's like kissing God.
Lenny Bruce

If Jesus had been killed twenty years ago, Catholic school children would be wearing little electric chairs around their necks instead of crosses.
Lenny Bruce

If you can take the hot lead enema, then you can cast the first stone.
Lenny Bruce

In the Halls of Justice the only justice is in the halls.
Lenny Bruce

Miami Beach is where neon goes to die.
Lenny Bruce

Satire is tragedy plus time. You give it enough time, the public, the reviewers will allow you to satirize it. Which is rather ridiculous, when you think about it.
Lenny Bruce

The "what should be" never did exist, but people keep trying to live up to it. There is no "what should be," there is only what is.
Lenny Bruce

The liberals can understand everything but people who don't understand them.
Lenny Bruce

The only honest art form is laughter, comedy. You can't fake it... try to fake three laughs in an hour - ha ha ha ha ha - they'll take you away, man. You can't.
Lenny Bruce

The only truly anonymous donor is the guy who knocks up your daughter.
Lenny Bruce

The role of a comedian is to make the audience laugh, at a minimum of once every fifteen seconds.
Lenny Bruce

There are never enough I Love You's.
Lenny Bruce

When you're eight years old nothing is your business.

Off the top of my head: George Carlin (obvious), Robin Williams, Gabriel Iglesias, and occasionally Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle.

Hmm...Sarah Silverman.

Jesus is magic!

But now I wonder if it's because I just want bang her. Smart, potty mouthed women are hot.

There is always plenty of truth in good comedy. For that reason, I love Robin Williams, George Carlin, Lenny Bruce, Robert Klein, Rowan Atkinson, Billy Crystal and Russell Peters MM

Lotta good comedians out there, old (Rodney Dangerfield, Abbot & Costello, etc.) and new (dont' forget Chris Rock - he was fucking hilarious when I saw him in '08 and RIP George Carlin who I saw in Brampton the last time he was here).

Lewis Black...he's fricken hilarious.....

Louis CK

Jim Norton Monstor rain lol.....

Sugar Sammy

Bobby Slayton

Just about anyone from the nasty show.....

Most of my favourites have already been mentioned (George Carlin being the unquestioned king of the funny) but Bob Saget is one of the nastiest, dirtiest and funniest stand-up comedians out there:

Hard to believe that's Danny Tanner talking!

I like Russell Peters a lot too (saw him live last summer) but I don't think he could get away with his comedy if he was a white guy. No judgement implied here, but I find it interesting to think how people would respond to his comedy if he wasn't a brown dude... :arf:

Haha thanks Nikki that was funny shit

I am a fan of many comedians.

Some of the notable ones are:
Mitch Hedberg
Russell Peters
Greg Morton

And there are many more whose names escape me at the moment.
