Actually, I get picked up at the condo, am served breakfast then driven to the top of the mountain/volcano in a van with 8 others. We then tour the volcano followed by a drive down the mountain for 28 miles. After to bike ride we get a tour of different areas of Hawaii then driven back to the condo!! Total time is between 8 and 9 hours.
And I got a special for $109.

Maybe there will be a hot chick who wants to give me a massage afterwards :wink2:

Well, I had a hell of a day !! Just got back to the condo after being picked up at 7:30 for my day on the Volcano !! First off, it was gd cold up there!! They had snow at the top last week. My guess was maybe 10C with a 50 mph wind. There were lots of Canadians up there with shorts saying it wasn't cold but I think that was all bs. It was cold !!

After being picked up we were brought back to the office and fitted with helmets. They also brought gloves and rain / wind gear for us to wear if needed. I opted for the gloves for the first half, very happy about that decision!! I just had cargo pants and a hoodie I picked up in San Diego but that was all that was needed!

I haven't been on a bike for a few years so I was a bit nervous but was fine after the first mile or so !! Drove down, had some great photo op stops and a nice lunch stop near the bottom of the volcano.

There was a family of 4 from St John, NB a couple from Alabama and an hilarious guy from Germany. The eight of us had a hoot!!

I was the only one from our group of 4 that wanted to do the downhill (no snow on this downhill Ryan). I filed to tell my wife that 3 people were killed on the downhill bike run a few years back in 3 separate incidents... but that resulted in more safety measures, which is good !!

I just read Whiteman's post re Maya at Paradise and have a headache thinking of her... oh shit, it's the rum!
