Henry Winkler won for his role as Gene Cousineau on 'Barry.'

Henry Winkler won the best supporting actor in a comedy series award for his role as Gene Cousineau on HBO's Barry at the 70th annual Emmy Awardsceremony. The award marks Winkler's first win and his sixth nomination.
The actor received a standing ovation from the audience while walking onstage to accept his trophy.
He was up against Louie Anderson (Baskets), Alec Baldwin (Saturday Night Live), Tituss Burgess (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), Brian Tyree Henry (Atlanta), Tony Shalhoub (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) and Keenan Thompson (SNL) for the award.
"I only have 37 seconds. I wrote this 43 years ago," Winkler began his acceptance speech. "Can I just say Skip Brittenham said to me a long time ago, 'If you stay at the table long enough, the chips come to you,' and tonight I got to clear the table.
