R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. has been order by a Florida Jury to pay $23.6 billion in punitive damages after a four-week trail in a lawsuit filed by Cynthia Robinson, the widow of a longtime smoker who died of lung cancer in 1996. The jury also awarded Robinson $16.8 million in compensatory damages.
