Take less than 5 minutes to view this. A must view for all that own or manage a business.

It will change how you spend your money and will impress your Boss or your partner.

Very useful information. But why are companies still advertising in magazines and newspapers?.

Is this enough proof?

Future Shop says it plans to use Twitter, Facebook and other social media to hire 4,000 people for the upcoming holiday sales period.

Meanwhile, Colliers International predicts Canadian retail sales will rise 9.4 per cent over last year during this holiday season. Its also projecting a 5-per cent rise in retail sales for all of 2010.

That is a great video. If you haven't already check out The Economists "Did You Know" series, it has a number of fantastic videos that provide information on the changing landscape of todays workplace.

This one focuses on Human Capital

The statement about products and services finding us? That has been the target of manufacturers since the dawn of the internet. Somewhere there is a database of what sites we go to, what we look at when we're there so when we log into our "home" page, ads targeted to us, are there waiting for us.

When you sign up for email flyers, that's what they're doing. I don't mind, if 10 retailers know I'm in the market for a new tv, send me the info!

Why do makers still advertise in magazines? No matter what, you still need something to read while taking a dump or standing in line or at the doctor's office. They will eventually go, but for now there's still plenty that buy them.

When tablet pcs become more mainstream, you'll see less and less print media. When the pentagon first got PCs for everyone, they figured they'd save billions of tons of paper per year...but when they took stock? Paper use went UP by something like 40%. We're not paperless yet.....

One interesting point: students who did online education faired better than face to face students....that's REALLY weird.....maybe because if you have to whiz, you don't have to hold it and get distracted, you can pause, and go and pick up where you left off. Plus you wont' get distracted by that hottie in the first row....

There was a thing on the radio this week about adding your boss as a friend on facebook. The problem with online is that you never really know who's watching, reading, or hiding. I still remember that chick who blew up at her boss on facebook and forgot she added him. He fired her online........
