Many of the newer members have been wondering who the "noob" is.. and why several of the other members are addressing me as a longtime friend when my official start date is Feb 2012 and I only have a few dozen posts under my belt.
And still others, are wonder WTF has happened to me for the last little while... Hmmmmmm
Lemme "splain" it for ya... I've been here almost since the Very Big Inning. ;;Hurry-up::
If memory serves, the board started in late 2009... I was an inaugural member joining within a few weeks of its inception. I didn't post much, since I was a member of another forum. But, when an overzealous Mod from THAT forum excommunicated me for life, I turned my attention to this forum. Many other members were disillusioned by the goings on at "that other place" and most of the cooler people ended up here as a result anyway, so it was a natural progression of events. (The fact that each and every one of you already know what I'm talking about, will attest to the validity of that last statement...)
I'll be the first to admit, I was a prolific post whore :blush2:... quickly becoming the board's post count leader and even overtaking the previous administrator. :SayWhat?:
Around about February of this year, myself and an undetermined (to me anyway) number of members were arbitrarily deleted. :NoNoNo: I was told it was a glitch in the system that was responsible for this mishap... as explained here: and that it was irreparable, so I was forced to start from scratch. However, the admin took pity on my situation and created the post count awards you see on the more prolific members... and "posthumously" awarded my resurrected on-line persona with the 5,000 post award. (I think I had about 6700 at the time... I don't really recall to be honest, mighta been more, maybe less... :unknw
Anyway, just prior to this, I also veered off on a different career path, so I used the deletion of my "on-line persona" to concentrate on that. Which is why I haven't been on the board as much as I was previously.
Things were going well, when I recently received a PM on Facebook by a friend who is also a member here, (many of long time members will assume it was ang, but you'd be wrong, it was someone else... you know who you are :wink: ), asking me how things are, so I decided to log in and say hello. ;/Waving://
Anyway, that's the long and short of it, and I hope to hang out here a bit more often.
