I've read about recent bidding wars in Toronto where the seller got more than one million over asking. That doesn't happen in Vancouver anymore.

Not to worry, another one will pass. The housing market rises and falls and there will always be a good time to make money and a bad. It's been more than a decade since my cousin sold one of her houses, and back then she made an 800,000 thousand dollar profit.
