Many years ago, I did extensive research into the theory that anal sex isn't really sex, at least not as it's defined in the Bible.

The literal translation of 'knowing' your spouse means to have intercourse with the intention of impregnating her, so for a man to have the biblical definition of sex, he has to penetrate the vagina.

This same reasoning is used as a loophole in other cultures where young women are known to offer anal sex while remaining a virgin vaginally, so they won't be disqualified for marriage.
