Go for a walk in a poor neighbourhood in your city and look for a kid/teen to give it to. Watching their face light up when they realize you're giving them a gift for free, will make you feel really good.

The problem with this approach (which is sad), children shouldnt receive anything from strangers and it is for their own protection. Perhaps donate it to a school in a very poor area and they can use the gift as a raffle to raise money for the school. Or to some needy organizations that serve poor children.

Then again, it is up to you TFZ

It's not unusual for me to have two piles of gifts as XMas. Stuff I'm keeping/will use, and stuff that's either getting returned, or more likely donated to my Mom's church's rummage sale. I can be pretty blunt/rude about stuff like that.

I recall a few, or not so few, years back, Mom got this idea I just had to have a suit. She found one she liked and asked me what I thought of it. "I'm sure it'll look good hanging in the closet." She threw a hissy fit at that, so I relented. She got a sales associate to come over and fit me with one. I confused to poor lady, because I had no interest in it, and didn't really care if it was comfortable or not. Christmas Day, I took the shirt she had also gotten me, stuffed it into the bag with the suit, and stuff that into the front hall closet, where it's hung since. It hasn't even been adjusted.
