Harvey Pekar is perhaps best known as the man behind American Splendor , a series of autobiographical comics that brought the graphic novel to a brand new audience. Since his passing, the comics community has banded together to honor Harvey, his love of comics, and his native Cleveland. With this project, an interactive sculpture will be installed on a writing desk at the Cleveland Heights Public Library, inspiring patrons to go forth and draw more comics.
