Made with Love

Good Morning and Good night thread:)

Another cool morning in the Center of the Universe. But gonna warm up later, so I'm enjoying the cool breeze while I can.

6:59 am in cloudy humid Halifax-wishing everyone a happy, safe and fun weekend-yeah it's Friday:):Dancing:

It's hard to feel happy today, knowing that many of my favourite places in BC have been consumed by wildfire in the last couple of days.

:Crying/:

Not my words but that of the Moody Blues.

I have always found Iron in these words, from the first I heard them:

"When the white eagle of the North is flying overhead
And the browns, reds and gold of autumn lie in the gutter, dead.
Remember then the summer bird with wings of fire flaying
Come to witness spring's new hope, born of leaves decaying.
As new life will come from death, love will come with leisure.
Love of love, love of life and giving without measure
Gives in return a wondrous yearn of a promise almost seen.
Live hand-in-hand and together we'll stand on the threshold of a dream."

Thanks papa. :BigHug:

The first line mentions an eagle - and Rock Creek is where I photographed a family of eagles for 8 years. They think it started with a discarded cigarette butt on the side of Hwy 33, and it spread to 2,500 hectares (25 square kms) within a day!

The forest around there was destroyed by the pine beetle infestation, on top of a very dry year, and I can only imagine how quickly and easily it burns.

Forest fires are very beneficial for the land in the long run, but sad to see people losing their land, homes and livestock.

Mr. S. Bear would be pissed by the cause but the result will bring new life and for a millennium or so that life will thrive.
That is to say if we as the lunk heads we tend to be do not interfere.
