Cold and raining here in Whitby. I was hoping it was warm and sunny a few miles west in Toronto but according to OG, it isn't. It's going to be awfully cold standing there on Yonge Street, watching the Pride parade this afternoon. Please send warm thoughts to me and my little shivering family!

That is the way it works
The North West has hot and sunny weather and the North East suffers with cold and wet.
Stays like that till it reverses and all is once again all is right with the weather.

I never thought I'd prefer cold weather over hot, but I've never experienced a winter day when I couldn't crank the heat up enough to be comfortable inside, whereas these high temperatures can't be conquered with a portable air conditioner.

Vancouver has a bylaw that says you can't put box air conditioners in the window, and very few homes in the lower mainland are built with central air because there only used to be a few days per year when you actually needed it. I live in a brand new building and can't believe they didn't bother to install central air.
