Government paying a terrorist

I am surprised that a thread on this topic has not already been posted so let me start this now
could someone please enlighten me as to why the Canadian Government has made this payment?
I understand that Mr. Khadr was imprisoned a Gitmo for his participation in an attack on a US soldier.
I also understand that the payment is being made because us Canadian Civil rights were denied while in prison.

I am not going to make any other comments until I hear from some others on this as I am right drawing a blank trying to understand this:unknw:

A judge today threw out the wife of the slain soldier to hold the funds. As Trudeau said, if they didn't pay it would have cost over 40 million as opposed to 10 million. The government over exceeded their authority and trampled on his rights.

There is no prove that happened. If there was, the judge wouldn't have said this is not a coffee shop area dammit, its a government court.

No person EVER has this option of going back to edit their clearance once they've been caught lying about it. People in the military, FBI ect would all lose their clearance for far less than this kind of shit, much less having actually "LIED" about it publicly before getting caught.

The guy is now obviously being investigated by the FBI as well as both House & Senate have said they are investigating him for collusion with the Russians and his clearance hasn't been pulled. It's a bunch of corrupt shit coming from the WH..Speaking of Sessions, he has also disobeyed a direct court order to turn over his omissions on his security clearance as well. That news also broke today.. Yeah the head of the DOJ actually disobeyed a court order..

I think our Fed Government has made huge mistake!
I am totally disgusted by this pay out!
I can not understand why we are paying for a prisoner who was NOT in a Canadian jail!
This person was a prisoner of the United Sates of America
Any violations to him (which have never been proven) were committed by the USA
Why is Canada paying him anything?
If the USA committed any of these said crimes against him they are guilty of War Crimes
This payout is a slap in the face to every Canadian Citizen !!!!

I am beginning to think that Mr. Dress-up has changed Canada into his own "DICTATORSHIP"
If things don't go as he thinks he just changes it or over rules it to his liking. ie: see the SNC mess.
I am sure telephone calls have been made from the PM's office to other parts of Canada on other maters that he has interceded in.
I just can't get my head around this one on Omar.
It is on film showing him killing American troups. He even admitted his role in the matter.
He was in GITMO not a Canadian prison for this.
