Maybe I am a callous SOB, I never discuss work outside of my office, I figure that I am there long enough. And I have no curiosity as to who is nailing who around any water cooler in anyone else's office. Any issues at work stay at work, as that is where they will be settled. They most certainly won't be settled at the dining room table or bedroom.

I think you misunderstand the word martyr. A martyr is someone who is always playing the victim, the world is against them, and turn everything into a drama. For eg: if you really loved me you'd have remembered I like oh henry not snickers......

No, the definition of martyr is someone willing to be persecuted or die for a cause. Which can be either heroic or pathetic depending on the situation.
And it was originally posted as a joke, martyr is not actually a profession.

That's the religious "true" definition, but in the sense of a psychosis or "syndrome" as in the "martyr syndrome" my definition holds true.

As for sun up here, it's beautiful the past few days, the sky is crystal clear, so clear in fact last night you could see the milky way. Ah life is good outside the big smoke!!!
