We were at Wonderland back in the late 80's or so..seems like a lifetime ago actually.
We were there with inlaws and we were walking thru some of the gaming areas we were just walking around and we walked out 1 door and our son(5 yrs. old) walked out another door and I looked around and he was gone..NP I just walked back in ..thinking he was at 1 of the games...he was nowhere to be found....Panic starting to set in now..so we all spread out looking ..he is nowhere to be found still...Now we are all in uber-panic mode.

I got this feeling in my gut that only a parent will get in this situation...and I'm now running around shaking I'm so scared.

But , when we entered wonderland I told our kids If you ever get lost ...look for a security guard and I showed them what they looked like .uniform walkie-talkie and badge.and they will take you to the lost and found area and we will find you.

I remembered what I told him..but a 5 yrs old I didnt think he would understand...SO..I headed to the lost and found at a dead run (Donovan Bailey couldnt have caught me at this point!!)
As I arrive..there he is telling the people his name and saying that he was told to come here if he got lost.
A happy reunion had by all.

I dont ever want to go thru that feeling again and I feel for any parents who were/are in the same situation...my situation had a happy ending..

Wow, am I ever glad I don't have children.

I'm glad that when I was five, my parents had their heads screwed on straight and made sure I was safe at all times.

I knew I dude in solitary confinement who used to hum that tune. He eventually flushed his own head down the toilet.

My parents lost track of my younger sister when we were at the beach - probably Port Stanley or Port Elgin. She was only about 5 years old at the time. They had everyone on the beach looking for her. I was sad when they found her.

I just watched all the seasons of OITNB, and Wentworth - and there's some pretty weird stuff that goes on in there.

Weird like Jello in your underwear?

Or weird like waking up to find a goat in bed with you?
