That they are coming out with more articles on Sex trafficking , all the newspapers. To me this is a slow education for the public by police etc to fight against prostitution. So people can become aware in a negative way instead of hearing the other side.I have not heard anything positive about prostitution lately. If you think people don't equate the two think again.

I know Big Brother but this is a way of getting it back to being illegal and if you sit back and think everything is going your way well, think again. Just my 2 cent.

I agree with you on this one Bliss. The Harper Government is not happy with the judges decision.

OMG

are you saying the media can be manipulated........ I thought that all politicians and all journalists were pure.

Which is why it's important for us to spread a more balanced view. The media have an agenda: scared people always keep reading. By advertising what I like to call the Hooker Apocalypse they will sell more papers, get more viewers/listeners.

Trafficking is not the issue. As Justice Himel said, there are laws already in place for that, as well as for employing underage people.

It's not exploitation, as the women fighting for decriminalization are voluntarily entering into that field.

It's not a feminist issue, as there are male and trans people working in the industry, and deserve the same amount of protection as women do.

If you don't like prostitution, fine, don't book a session. I don't like country music, but am I lobbying to get it criminalised?

This article really sums it up well:
