I think I mentioned that I have been feeling that my erections have not quite been as dependable as in previous days, (easy to blame on age, safes, mood etc) + I have had some "episodes" of chest tightness, which feels like a lack of breathing ability, while playing golf, and at hockey....not regular, but sporadic in their occurrences.
Anyway, I did a stress test, and sure enough, one of the readings indicated a lack of oxygen to a part of my heart when under stress....a possible blockage.
More tests to do in the weeks upcoming...nuclear, or possibly an angiogram, and we'll see.
Prescription for Nitro Spray, and beta blockers as a precaution.
I"ll start with the pills after I see Monique on Saturday...their side effect is ....you know

Hector glad to hear you were smart enough not to ignore those kind of symptoms, as many do and sometimes pay with their life. We're very luck to live in Ottawa, where one of the world's best heart specialty institutes is. I too found out I had irregular heart rhythms, and was prescribed a beta blocker which I'll take forever. I used to get very tired and fall asleep a lot, and sometimes would feel my pulse going really fast even when resting. I simply thought it was what they called palpitations and ignored it for years.

I then went for a stress test at the Heart Institute as part of my regular annual medicals and after getting hooked up the technician said, you're having an atrial fibrillation, which I'd never heard of. They immediately called a heart specialist to come right away and I was immediately put on those pills, which basically regulate the tiny computer on top of your heart, to beat in rhythm again. Simple fix and I was told that I was so lucky to have gone so many years without having a stroke, as one of the heart chambers doesn't fill with blood.
I'm also on cumadin for life which keeps the blood from clotting too easily, again a simply and easy fix.

They'll take good care of you there. You might need some Viagra, although you have to be careful as it lowers your blood pressure which isn't good if you have heart problems. Worth asking them about it though. A tip with V is the 25 mg, 50mg and 100mg are all the same price, so get the 100mg pills even if you need only 50mg, and cut it in half and that way you cut your cost in half too. Of course don't need any of that anymore which is great. Good luck and no more sex until you get your results...LOL

Good catch Hector, it's better you're catching this early, than too late.

Good on you Hector. More guys should act on the signs they see within themselves. Best wishes.

Hector, happy to read you were proactive and that the Heart Institute wasting no time to reach a heart specialist. It would be best not to do any more double headers in the future :biggrin2:
