The infection epidemic is due to antibiotic resistance partly due to doctors handing antibiotics out like candy. The bacteria or whatever causes infections have morphed and are harder to kill. That's why Infectious Disease folks had to get involved, they need to determine the exact type of infection and which antibiotic will kill it. No more one pill kills all.

In Russia, they've been using viruses to kill bacteria rather than antibiotics, for decades! With so many resistant bacteria out there now, bacteriophage therapy might finally be coming to the West.

I had the wound packing and vacuum stuff like Slurps' wife...but it wasn't keeping up with the infection. The wound is now, after the debridement procedure, on the right track to heal, and the VAC machine is gone. I still have the IV/antibiotic bag and PICC installed, and hope my appointment with Infectious Diseases sees the end of that on June 1st. I actually had 2 ..a Staph, and one called Entero Bacter Cloacae...the pain is siubsiding. The nurse comes only once a week now...I change my own antibiotic bag. It will be a long recovery as my breathing for months now has been shallow in order to avoid the pains in my lung and the incision itself

Is it Cipro that's the antibiotic in the bag, as it's pretty potent to kill bacteria, and it's also used for anthrax and the plague. Been a gruelling time for you to beat this, but seems it's getting better.

Glad to hear you are on the mend Hector, hoping for no more setbacks for you. These infections are getting to be a real pain, in more ways than one.

It's a bit crazy where Monique was concerned. I had wanted to take her away to Atlanta on March 10th, but didn't step up fast enough, and I guess some other guy took her. Anyway, had I done that I truly think I would never have gone to the hospital, hoping to get that weekend in first. I suspect it would have been the death of me...the heart operation was March 8th, and I was in the hospital while she was frolicking with the other guy. She sent me photos lol.

Considering she's only CBJ it is on the high side, but seems she does ok with it at that rate, unlike others who aren't busy. If so many of these girls are claiming business is down, then why not have a sale on, just like stores do when business is slow? Their problem is that many have the illusion that they're "worth" what they charge, and can't understand that if you can't sell it, then it's actually worth nothing, instead of realizing it's better to at least get something, albeit less. If clients weren't so horny, a boycott would quickly result in lower prices!

She was telling me she had about 18 ghost bookings, made and then cancelled....Twitter may be fun but perhaps it brings out a lot of pranksters...she told me she used to get 1 a month. I am seeing her this week...more as social? reacquaintance ? I am still hooked up to the IV, but is off on the 15th YAY....I suspect we'll have little fun and start working our way back to previous activities and fun over a bit of time...it's like anything else I suppose
