Well the sale is about money, but consider this. If you surf to TER in the USA and communicate with an escort, that puts you in "quasi legal land". Don't kid yourself for a minute. Your employer checks your Facebook and the Feds check these sites and monitor them. My own suspicion is that a certain well known site that's just nasty is a honeypot run by the Feds. Call me Mr Tin Foil hat, but I've seen a dozen guys that were loud, racist, sexist assholes turn out to be Federal informants. Why bother surveillance on people when you can put out a "leader" and just monitor whoever follows him.
