Help!!! Chrome has kidnapped my front page.

When I logged on yesterday there was a message that Chrome has been updated. Now I have 8 of my most frequent favorites on the main screen so you can click them instead of going to my bookmark section. They are rectangle and very visible.

You all can guess what most are. I sometimes have to show friends or coworkers something on the web and if they see that would be embarrassing.

Anyone has the same thing or anyone know how to get rid of it?.

Use Incognito Mode -
Once Chrome is up - Press Shift+CTRL+N to open a new Incognito Browser. In Incognito mode, your history is not saved.

At the bottom of the Chrome homepage you should see buttons for:

Most Visited .... Apps

If you're clicked on Apps, then Chrome will only display four large icons on the screen:
Store ... GMail ... YouTube .... Google Search.

If you're clicked on Most Visited you'll get the results you noted in the original post.

So click your front page settings to Apps.

Then follow Transient's advice for incognito browsing.

Mine changes as well. Chrome places them in a tab called "APPS" To find them again in the upper left hand corner of the browser there is a colorful checkecommunity pattern. Select that and your screen pops right back. The problem is when you restart Chrome it goes back to the original "Chrome has updated" page.

Thanks for your help. I changed my start home page to yahoo but if I use Chrome it takes me back to Google. Using Firefox fixes everything but Chrome is faster.

When you go to the top right corner of each rectangle, an X pops up with the note "Don't show on this page". Delete all the ones you don't want popping up on that page.

Anyone know how to get rid of the stupid game that's pinned to the top of the 'New Tab" pages? I can't find an option to delete it.
