Being a 'chataholic' for a few years has increased my typing speed.

I took typing classes way back in grade 9 when we had the old touch type typewriters with the ribbons and manal return bar you had to hit to make it go back to the left side of the page. I can't remember if they were even electric? Anyone else in grade 9 in 1973?

I got 71 wpm. A few years ago when I was looking for a job, I would apply with temp agencies, and they have their own tests for speed, and accuracy. From what I can remember, they had words per hour, and I think it was something like 4,300, with a 97% accuracy.

Interesting..... seems my typing has slowed a little over the years. Used to type around 120 wpm with 98% plus accuracy. Now my first attempt I did a quote from Monty Python and did 71 wpm with 95 percent accuracy

I took auto mechanics and embarrassed the guys by getting the highest mark in the class. I'm very good with my hands. Good manual dexterity, hand eye co-ordination, rhythm, etc. ... skills that come in handy every day!
