She said she starts at 6am on Sat at Bridgehead, so I'll go in early before it gets too busy, and will give her a small little gift, as Asians like that kind of thing, and as she said she's unattached she wouldn't get that kind of attention. I'll have a piece of paper inside with my phone number, so it's more discreet.

If she calls then I'll know her interest is real, as it seems so far. The fact she initiated the hug and kiss was a good sign. She's quite tall for an Asian which is nice too. Her English is totally passable and she's taking English courses to make it better, so communication is far better than Mimi and Anna combined. Her name is Yun, and will let you know how it goes tomorrow...

Unfortunately I should have asked for your help earlier, as I crashed and burned on Saturday. I went in at 7am to the coffee shop, before it got too busy, and sure enough there she was, and when she saw me she was sooo excited and jumped up and down, and the other girls must have thought she was crazy, or who was this guy she seemed so happy to see. I asked for a coffee and when I went to pay she insisted that it was free, so between the greeting and that kind offer, I figured this was consistent with her all her previous interest when she worked at the other place. I handed her the small little gift that was in a plastic bag, and she asked if it was garbage and I said no its for you.

She took it into the back, but I don't think she opened it, although she might have. I had put a note inside with my phone number suggesting she text/call me and maybe we could go out for dinner as easier to chat, rather than only at her work places. Well no contact from her at all, which I found somewhat surprising, even just to say thank you, and declining the get together. When I left I went and said goodbye thanking her for the coffee and hoped she liked the gift, and she learned over the counter, smiled and said goodbye.

As we all know, what we often perceive from females, isn't always as it seems, as sometimes a girl who you think is interested, isn't, or one who you think isn't interested, is. Much the same as seeing an sp, you think you get along, but she gives you terrible service, and others who you think won't be great, turn out fantastic. Anyway, no sure why all the displays of interest, and then no response, but it is what it is, and I figured going into this, that I had to cut to the chase and find out one way or the other, without wasting my time, and now I know.

I guess she just saw a plastic bag folded up, so assumed garbage, when in fact it was a very small $15 eye brush set in which I put the note. Maybe to her the gift was garbage...I even thought maybe she did throw it out, but the fact I said it wasn't garbage when she asked, I would hope not. Maybe Asians are reluctant to text or phone someone they don't know well, but it still surprises me no acknowledgment given Asians are pretty polite.

I might go back on Sat and say I'm sorry if I offended her with a gift, or made her feel uncomfortable, just to see what she says. Maybe there's something I don't know, but strange given her consistent displays of interest, as what's the point, considering she sure wasn't that friendly to other customers at the other place or the coffee shop. Too bad as she's a pretty girl, and tall for an Asian, about 5'7"....as well not being an sp, she may not even shave in which case I'd be really pissed off missing out!!!

Actually I think apologizing would be a subtle way to embarrass her, in other words I'm sorry I gave it to you if it's so unappreciated, not even to say thanks. A thanks for the thought of it would be sufficient, and no apology necessary for choosing not to accept the invitation.

I like the idea of going back as it will give you both a chance to rectify any misunderstandings. Just to be sure as this sounds too good not to pursue until you are 100% sure what the deal is.

Saying I'd go back to embarrass her, albeit subtly, isn't the right term, but maybe just to see what the reaction will be when she sees me again. If it's not as friendly and enthusiastic as before, then I'll know she felt uncomfortable and it's dead. If however, it's the same, then I'll have to find out why, and using the apology strategy doesn't directly look like I'm making her feel guilty, but rather making it look to her that I feel I did wrong. If as you say Slurp, if there's some misunderstanding, which is possible when her first language isn't English, and a cultural difference, then I'll know for sure, and can go elsewhere for coffee...and BEAVERtails!

I don't mind telling you her name is Yon, and she works at the Bridgehead on Dalhousie and Guigues St. Last Sat she started at 6:30am, so not sure if that's what she works all the time, or does different shifts. She used to have the two jobs there, and the Bacon Factory, but now it's just the former as far as I know. She does take English classes but not sure when.

Although I shouldn't post non Asian here, for convenience this time I will. I see Victoria is back at Paradise, and I'd seen her when she went independent in Dec, and spend 2 hrs with her at a hotel and had an awesome time, as we really clicked. She was going to come to my place, but then suddenly quit working until now. For years she was an independent sp. She has a model face, sweet personality, and very tall, about 5'10" I think. When she worked at Paradise before, she worked almost everyday, but now only a couple days a week. Although I didn't, she'll do fs at Paradise. I'm thinking of seeing her again, but Mimi's back from TO, (had to insert some Asian in here) so maybe an instant replay of 2 weekends ago. Have to win Max to be able to see all I'd like to see! It's like going to a buffet and wanting to try everything, but don't have room for it all.

Yes a numbers game for sure, and when you feel you number is up! Nevertheless, thanks for the opinions and advise, as sometimes an outsider can look at the situation differently and see things that others can't. I guess it won't hurt to drop in and have a coffee, as that will determine once and for all if the interest is genuine, or not. My luck she'll probably be working a different shift!

Might have to put more effort into finding a non sp Asian, after these Asian raids. I'm sure they'll all be on edge for a while, wondering if they'll be next. I'm sure Julia won't hire an illegal, and certainly Katie is ok, as she's Canadian. Interesting the news said the police only have 4 officers to do that kind of work, and are asking for more.

Don't judge a book by its cover, as she's been reviewed on T-erb and not positively. She also barely speaks English...sound familar. I'm sure she worked with another girl for a while who was ok, but she had a bad client and it affected her badly, so she's quit and only this one left. I think she works in the Westboro area, or at least she did at one time.
