What got to me is this: 44 years for attempted murder/assault, meanwhile in South Africa, Oscar Pistorius was jailed for just one year for actually killing someone.

I'm probably wrong, however I could be right, but, I think the point of the thread is the injustice of justice. In life, title and position have more to do with how one will pay for their crime rather than the nefarious nature of the crime. It's a shame that we don't push equality as much as we push democracy.
