You can book some of them solo, talk to them on the phone/email etc. And they also take calls trhought Allegra per itself.

The roster seems pretty good, I don't believe it's just students. I would prefer to book through the Agency. At least I know agencies like Allegra, Mirage, JerseyGirl etc....stand by their bookings, although I'm sure there are some very reputable independents as well.

I just thought I'd jump in and explain how our collective model works, because it's a bit unusual and is sort of a hybrid of the indy/agency models that we're accustomed to. For starters, most or our SPs are also indies, and you're more than welcome to book them as such. Other agencies tend to frown upon their SPs booking directly with the client, but we think it's better for providers to have some control over their own booking process. It leads to a better match between SPs and clients, and everyone ends up happier.

At the same time, we know there are a lot of clients who prefer to make arrangements through a third-party booking agent, and that's a service we provide as well. This ends up working better for guys who don't necessarily have the ability to pre-book, due to uncertain schedules, inability to use email, etc. Plus, there's the guarantee that comes with booking through an agent - we only qork with reliable and reputable SPs, we guarantee the time you've booked, and if things go wrong, we'll make it right. So, our indy SPs also take on a few shifts per week when they're available for same-day bookings through Allegra, and we provide all the same features that an agency might provide - except that our SPs are all autonomous independent contractors, instead of "employees".

Again, everyone ends up happier - clients are able to spend time with SPs they might not be able to meet otherwise, and SPs end up getting a few extra bookings in addition to their indy clientele. Plus, we share a few spaces for safety purposes, advertise collectively, and share information among ourselves to keep each other safe. Not to mention, we're a group of friends, support and help each other, spend time together when we're not working, and have some pretty amazing parties and social events! :YMPARTY: If you've seen how we interact at one of the HUBGFE parties, you'll understand what makes us different than a typical agency, or a loose gathering of independent SPs.
