[h=1]Video: Surveillance video shows man who died during 34-hour ER wait[/h]

[h=2]An inquest into the death of Brian Sinclair has been told the double amputee was ignored during his entire 34-hour wait in an emergency room. Sinclair is shown in a security video at the Winnipeg Health Sciences Centre.[/h]

More to this story. He was a regular there and took a swing at a nurse on his last visit. They were trying to teach him a lesson.

Well now they have to pay millions for their negligence.

Without addressing this particular case, there are a lot of "professional patients" who clog the medical buildings with minor or non-existent issues, simply to get attention, stay warm, or whatever the excuse. Triage is done on every patient, even in Winnipeg, to ensure those who need help the most get it. 34 hours is not excusable, but also, if this fellow kept annoying the staff with repeated visits I understand a little better. Many doctors have ignored hypochondriacs and attention-seekers to stew, hoping they will just leave (not that there's anything wrong with them).

[h=1]Brian Sinclair: Man who died after 34-hour Winnipeg hospital wait was assumed to be ‘sleeping it off’ after vomiting.[/h]
[h=2]A man who died during a 34-hour wait in a hospital emergency room vomited on the floor during his final hours, but a security guard on duty said he assumed Brian Sinclair was intoxicated and “sleeping it off.”[/h]
