How old were you that you can remember something happening in your life?

I was talking to my SO about it over the weekend...I can remember things when I was around 3 or 4.....

I'm about the same, my first memories are about 3 and a half or so. Had this toy I really loved. Carried it to school all of pre kindergarten til my pre K teacher said no more.

Playing in my Nan's kitchen when I was about 3. I think prior to this, the brain is not developed enough to consciously record and remember memories.

Earliest memory would be when I was 3 years old.

The general consensus so far is 3 yrs of age, or what Oagre says.

Make mine year 4 had to skip one....Joke, anyone get it?.

I can remember bits and pieces of my childhood. Most of it I don't want to reminese. Anyone has the same thoughts as me?.

I remember moving, my mom and i talked about this just last week.
She told me i was one at the time.

yet...i can't remember what i had for dinner last night

I can remember when I was four years old my grandmother holding me in her arms and smiling at me.

3 for me as well...

I was 1 yr old when we moved from Halifax to Ontario, but have no recollection of that what-so-ever. I don't even remember the first house we lived in here in Ontario! LOL.

My earliest memories involve my stuffed monkey! I received him as a Birthday present for my 3rd birthday. I remember being very stressed about losing him, and then finding him again.

I was talking to my mother a few years ago about this memory I had at a beach under a towel and she told me I was 18 months......I dont remember almost cutting off my thumb on a tent peg (also 18 months) but I have other memories of that summer. I think because it was the first time we went camping.....

Oh, I remember my dad's chrylser with the big wings, me and my brother sleeping on the parcel shelf behind the backseat........I can remember my dad hitting the brakes and we rollling off onto the back seat and floor too lol

I remember our Volkswagen had a compartment behind the back seat where I sat after my mom's lap was occupied by my baby sister. We called it the back-back seat.

My first memory is about three, I was down in the cellar pantry looking for the hidden tin of homemade cookies.
I have a lot of memories of four in kindergarten, I didn't fit in very well. :???:

I remeber getting lost in the Empire State Building when I was 5 and riding the elevators all day .I didnt give a shit if my folks ever found me:lol:

I did the same thing at Science Centre! Except on the excalators and in the kids section... LOL!

I was maybe 5-6 yrs old... Silly thing is, I didn't even know I was lost! I was havin a grand old time. My parents finally found me in the concession area chatting with a few of the girls that worked there! LOL :)

Funny thing about being lost back then, you just went on having your day. I got lost at the ex once with my brother and my cousin (he was older). I lost em, looked for a while, then said, well, I'm not spending all day looking so I started playing games. My brother found me at pull a string lol.......

My first memory is about 3 to 4 years old. I remember my cosins ( we are the same age) we were comparing body parts and she wanted to play with mine and worst she would like it for her once she didn't have one, I remember my other cosin offering hers to my other cosin play and she " no way yours is similar mine" I want wilson's little  I remember the adults laughing my aunt and my mother and I was in an embaressing situation:)

I can remember back to when I was three, or early four. Before my brother was born.
