What is "having a life?"

I think a happy balance between work, down time, hobbies, family, friends, and solo time to ones self is having a great life.

Social media has made it so that you can have social interact without having to step outside and this is not health for some but only because they can't find the balance.

But to say that one doesn't have a life because they are online a lot or they jerk off a lot or they do others things a lot doesn't automatically equal no life. It is what they enjoy. When it cross the lines and becomes life, that is a different story.
