What you could buy then for $20k or $30k now goes for 400-500k. And those luxury homes that were selling for 50k now fetch a mil.
Those boomers were able to pay off their mortgages decades ago, often on a single salary.
Don't know how kids manage to get a foot in the market today with starter homes running upward of 300k
