How to be a Drama Queen in a "No Drama" world....

In recent years I have noticed this rather unfortunate trend of gentlemen who arbitrarily attach the "... and no drama" label at the end of their online dating profile. This is like a red flag to a bull for me, and I either ignore said gentleman and his message or interest, or I make the rather "dramatic" choice to write him a few choice words about just how much of a "Drama Queen" I am.

I am not entirely sure what these men are implying when they make that broad request, but for me it is a rather insulting statement, and a grossly anti-female one at that, because let's face it with our shifting monthly hormones, and our emotional liability women are expressions of "drama" whether they intend to be or not! I certainly am, although I take being a "Drama Queen" to a whole other level.

But I digress.... It seems to me that any man who does not want drama, is in essence saying he does not want a woman, and the emotional flux that comes with being involved with us. Now I would suggest to these gentlemen that perhaps changing teams might solve that dilemma, but unfortunately drama is prevalent in the gay community as well... One can't seemingly get away from "drama", as life is a stage that fosters a dramatic display.

And I am a "Drama Queen" I freely admit, an artistic spirit and emotionally attune woman who approach the world from a place of empathy and feeling, sensation and connection. And despite instigating a level of detachment in my practice and outlook of late, I am still very much a whole-hearted woman who wears her heart on her sleeve, vulnerable and open in mind and spirit.... a state that is risky and frought with "drama" and emotional response, but in my opinion necessary for true and real connection with someone.

But perhaps Online dating is not the place for such lofty expectation, with it's veneer of casual meaningless sex, and the gentlemen who blithely state "no drama" are really saying "no caring, no connection, don't expect a phone call" lol. Because how much do you want to bet that the "drama" that they are referring to has been in response to their rather careless, and callous behavior towards their lover? Hmmm.... I wonder?

In the meantime, I have decided to flaunt my "Drama Queen" label with pride because ultimately it is that crazy bitch that makes me such a talented musician and belly dancer, but more importantly such an exciting and voracious lover, reaching a level of passion that not many attain. It is her that makes me such an exciting romp in the bedroom. You can't have one without the other.

There are women that are not into drama BTW. Don't talk for them just because you are one.

My point is that some men tend to perceive ALL women as into drama because they are women and more emotionally expressive.... And I can speak my truth as I see it and I will.

Fair enough but you have the wrong meaning to what no drama means or what symbolizes a drama Queen.
