I'm a big wolf fan and have seen them here https://www.northernlightswildlife.com/

Most of the pack was out being exercised when I was there, but I got to see the alpha female and a young male. I was gonna post pics, but I had to take them through a chain link fence, and it makes me sad to look at them being fenced in.

I've seen a few far off, but haven't been able to photograph any close up yet. That's still on my bucket list.

PS- wolves are not considered an endangered species in Canada and it's legal to hunt them.

This often happens...people step in and make a change in an ecosystem and they get completely unexpected results. People protested oil pipelines because they would hurt the caribou....their numbers increased because heat from the pipeline actually gave them more to eat year-round. Zebra mussels were accidentally introduced to the great lakes....now the water is clearer and may populations have increased an water quality has improved in some aspects.

Ecosystems are hugely complex and for people who predict what a change is going to do are often wrong.
