Do these guys who make these changes even try it out first...of course not. Took a while just to find the Ottawa section. Too bad as always enjoyed the easy to find post to read but those days are history.

I'm going to need to do an experiment to make sure the changes I've done are working. I need someone who is not a member of the group to try to view the group. Will someone volunteer to be removed from the group temporarily and then try to enter the group while a non-member? After the experiment, obviously we'll re-enroll you as a member again. I can't do it with my own account as I'm the moderator of the group, and I need to be able to do the membership changes to the group.

Until its secure here, some of us are now using PM in that other site for most communications. Even then not sure about staying on here given this new layout. When the rosie board make a design change, it really went downhill and now very few ads or posts anymore. This isn't a case of resistant to change, it's change for the sake of change.

I found another item that I had to leave to test. If, as a member of DOB, you look at your profile, or the profile of any member, you can see their posts even in DOB.

I left the group and checked, I looked at a few profiles and their activities and nothing from DOB showed. So if you stumble on this do not be alarmed. Only DOB members can see any posts and others cannot even see the group itself. We're locked down nicely. Post away in confidence. IF you can manage to find your way to the group LOL

Okay, so here's an update on what's happening here. After the website makeover, certain features that used to be not under the group owner's control became under their control through a settings panel. The reason why I asked some of you to test the privacy of the group was to make sure these settings were working right. That's why you're seeing so many previously private groups being completely open now: their group owners haven't realized that they are completely open now.

The way to get into this group from first principles is to:

1. Login to https://hubgfe.com
2. Select Toronto Adult Forum (actually it'll work from any of the forums, Montreal or Vancouver)
3. Along the top you'll see a horizontal menu bar (choices include: Forums, Blogs, Articles, and Groups), choose Groups
4. Once in Groups, there is another menu choice to Show groups (All or My Groups), choose My Groups.
5. You'll see the DOB group listed there, just select it.
6. You'll see a bunch of tab selectors along the top (Latest Activity, My Subscriptions, Topics, and Photos), choose Topics to view a list of all topics on the group, listed in reverse chronological order. This is similar looking to the way things were set up previously.
