I think this is the wrong example to be upset about, this was a real wife, not some trophy wife who was just there to look good. She bore and raised his kids. It freed him up to work as a wrestler. He likely wasn't the one taking the kids to school, or to the doctor. In fact, likely he was taken care of by her too when his bones were crunched at work.

BTW, one thing to note is that they said, she got 70% of his "liquid" assets, which to me means cash savings, and investments, but not houses and cars, etc. Houses and cars aren't liquid as they need to be sold off for cash value. Those will likely be split evenly 50/50.

It is, but consider that some guys have to pay 100% of his future earnings and I gave an example in the Bab's thread where one guy had to give 300% of his future earnings....

I think 40% to her would'ov been more fair. Hulk did break his ass jumping around the ring making dat money all those years so he should take away more.

All I am saying is that there should be a FAIR split of assets, not that she should be broke and penniless. Like I said, a couple million (maybe even a bit more if he can afford it), would make for a very comfortable life.

Exactly. Every person is to be responsible for their own income. Regardless, even at my age, I could make 2 million last a life time. Think of it another way, the 'average' person earns between 2 million and 2.5 million dollars in their life time, or $50,000/year for 40 working years. To have that money given to a person at close to a retirement age is not a pittance.

It is a pittance if you've become accustom to spending 1.5mil a year as I'm sure the rich and famous do. She is afforded the luxury of maintaining her lifestyle, rightly or wrongly I believe that is how the law looks at it. I do agree the laws should be rewritten to bring in some fairness to both sides.
