Dave, most people have suffered through depression (of various degrees) at one time or another. So know that you are not the only one.
If it gets to the point that depression alters your life or affects the way you live your life, please get some help. Talk to a trusted friend or a Dr. that could recommend a therapist or medication in severe cases. If you don't feel comfortable talking face to face and want to stay anonymous, discuss your depression with an internet friend, chat group or even one of those phone helplines.
Sometimes all that's needed is to vent and discuss what is going on in life, just to get it off your mind.
