Not to rock the boat but how did it come about to being bald for Cancer research turn into "My hair dresser said this was best?. No pun intended. I read that she was paid $350 for going bald not what her hairdresser said would look better.

Shoot me that is fine but there must be more members like me that think she didn't deliver.

You are all talking about the good cause. It's so irrelevant. Let's not forget that if a person, retail or wholesale advertises what it will be and takes money on it. Then it should be what it is.

Like the other dude, not rocking the boat but this is called cheating and money should be returned to those that donated. Then-they can donate it themselves.

So People ...what they do is put your hair into a Pony Tail and cut if off.....

Maybe LR did not know that....but that is how they send the hair to
be turned into wigs.

This holiday, in the midst of hurried shopping and party preparations, consider stopping a moment and giving of yourself. Donate your long locks to provide wigs for cancer patients and children with hair loss.


The Childhood Leukemia Foundation accepts hair donations for the Hugs-U-Wear program, which gives wigs to girls who have suffered hair loss as a result of cancer treatments.

Guidelines:

• Hair should be at least 12 inches in length. (Curly hair may be pulled straight to measure 12 inches).
  
• Clean and dry your hair before cutting.
  
• Braid your hair or put it in a ponytail before it is cut.
  
• Place the ponytail or braid in a sealed plastic bag with rubber bands at both ends.
  
• Place the plastic bag with your hair donation in a padded envelope.
  
• If you’d like a thank you note, also include your name and address on a full-sized separate sheet of paper inside the envelope.
  
• Chemically treated hair, from permanents or hair dyes, is not accepted.
  
• Hair swept off the floor is unusable.
  
• Hugs-U-Wear does not accept gray hair.

Just read her posts. Being bald is not having short hair. Agree she should give the money back. All in Black and white. The Cancer patients always have those that donate, no lost there.

As far as HUBGFE is concerned, she had her hair shorn and thats the way it's done when hair is donated. Over 12" of her hair is being donated and for that, someone is going to be very grateful.
